You Just Wanna Dance
Performance piece staged during New Orleans Second Saturday gallery crawl. The traditional white walled gallery was transfromed into a nightclub with a dance floor, bouncer, bar, and DJ. As the party reached its peak at 10pm, 28 hidden Black perfromers opened black umbrellas on the dancefloor, representing the 28 unarmed Black people killed by police thus far in 2016.
